Lived here growing up so things might be different now. Generally safe with plenty of commercial activities. Available amenities included markets, schools, and hospitals.

Lively(the loud kind) area, you'll find people at the bustop even at midnight, transportation is very good, BRT is available for morning commutes, and of course, steady stream of other buses. But the electricity is so bad, you can't survive as a heavy internet user without investing into backup power, network is almost as bad but still manageable. All in All, Not an area for the weak.
