Terms of Service

Lived is a free, information-first platform that helps people understand what it is actually like to live in a particular area or compound in Nigeria, through reviews written by residents. Lived is not a property marketplace, a listing service, an agent or landlord directory, or a property verification service. We don't list properties for rent or sale, and we don't charge for any information on the site.

You can search and read every review on Lived without an account. An account is only required to submit a review. You're responsible for keeping your account secure and for anything submitted through it.

By submitting a review, rating, or report, you agree that:

• It reflects your own genuine, personal experience of the place.
• It doesn't contain false statements made with the intent to mislead, or content that is defamatory, harassing, or unlawful.
• It doesn't include another identifiable person's personal information (for example, a landlord's or neighbour's full name or contact details).
• You have the right to share it, and you grant Lived a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to publish, display, and distribute it on the platform. Your review is always published without your name attached — publicly shown only as “Anonymous Resident.”

Reviews on Lived are personal opinions and experiences submitted by individual residents. Lived does not independently verify the accuracy of any review, and reviews should not be treated as verified facts. See Disclaimer below.

We may review, flag, or remove content that violates these terms, including in response to a report from another user. We may also limit how many reviews an account can submit in a given period to prevent spam and abuse.

Signed-in users can add a neighborhood, street, or compound that isn't already listed, scoped to an existing area. New locations you add are visible publicly right away. Please only add real, genuinely existing places.

You agree not to:

• Submit content you know to be false or misleading.
• Impersonate any person or entity.
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from Lived without our written permission.
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, moderation, or account restrictions.
• Use Lived for any unlawful purpose.

Lived is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. Content on Lived — including reviews, ratings, and location descriptions — is submitted by users or compiled from public information and is provided for general informational purposes only. It should not be your sole basis for any housing, financial, or legal decision. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lived disclaims all liability for decisions made in reliance on content found on the site.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lived and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site.

We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms. You may stop using Lived, or ask us to delete your account, at any time.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
