Privacy Policy

You can search areas, streets, and compounds, and read every review, without signing in or giving us any information at all. We only collect personal information from people who choose to create an account to submit a review.

When you sign in, we collect:

• Your email address, if you sign in with an emailed link.
• Basic profile information from Google (your email address, and whatever Google shares under its standard sign-in permissions), if you sign in with Google instead.

When you submit a review, we collect:

• The review text, ratings, and dates you provide.
• Your account is linked to the review internally, for moderation and abuse prevention — but it is never shown to other users. Every review is published publicly as “Anonymous Resident.”

We do not currently use third-party analytics, advertising trackers, or advertising cookies. If that changes, we'll update this policy first.

• To let you sign in and submit reviews.
• To prevent spam and abuse — for example, limiting how many reviews one account can submit per day, and preventing duplicate reviews of the same place.
• To review reports made against content and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

We use a small number of infrastructure providers to run Lived:

• Supabase, which hosts our database and handles authentication. Some of Supabase's infrastructure may be located outside Nigeria; where that applies, appropriate safeguards are used for any cross-border transfer of your information, consistent with the NDPA.
• Google, only if you choose to sign in with your Google account.
• Our hosting provider, to serve the website itself.

We don't share your identity with other users or the public. We may disclose information if required to by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Lived or our users.

We keep your account and review data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or ask us to, we'll delete or anonymize your personal information, except where we're required to keep it for legal reasons.

Under the NDPA, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate information.
• Request deletion of your personal information.
• Object to, or request that we restrict, certain processing.
• Request a copy of your data in a portable format.

We use a single functional cookie to keep you signed in. We don't use cookies for advertising or tracking you across other websites.

Lived is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, let signed-in users know.
