It's your typical small town community. Electricity supply is bloody terrible. Probably the worst thing about the area. The roads are bad too, especially during the rainy season. Water supply is fair, housing costs are relatively cheap compared to other developed areas. Basically, it's a fair place to be if you are old and looking to just retire and chill. But as a young person developing himself and his career, I do not recommend at all.

Our building had borehole water,
Electricity wasn't constant and they are always having transformer issues,
And it could stay faulty for months,
It's a quiet street and fairly safe, though on one occasion armed men robbed my parents while they were at home.

The area is generally safe. There’s active security at the entrance to the community. Electricity wasn’t bad, I believe because it is close to the Alaba market. The compound itself was peaceful. The roads aren’t great but you can always find your way around. It’s predominantly an Igbo community. Do whatever you want with that information 🌚

The water supply is poor; the water is brown and coloured, so you'd need to get water from another building on the other street or filter it yourself using sedimentation.
The compound was not always quiet, as children would play, and the house is close to the street, so there was also noise from the neighbours. The street has a drainage on one side of the road and a diversion canal at the end of it, with a wooden bridge connecting it to the other street.
Also, noise from generators was a problem.

Electricity was shaby, but I had a good transport experience since it was very close to the main road. There was a barber shop in the street and also little shops by residents.

The area is fairly secure and electricity is constant. Roads are terrible in the rainy season and fair once they’re dried. There’s barely any noise disturbance towards the GRA. A majority of the estate has bad sewage systems. It’s situated very close to the major road so accessibility to other areas (Iyana Iba, Egbeda & Badagry) is pretty easy. It’s also a 10minutes drive to Lagos State University, which is favorable to students.

If you are someone who is retired or just want to lay low, then this is the best place for you.
Reason:
1. Poor Electricity. The area hardly gets light And even when they decide to turn it on, it's always low current. The only hope there is solar or if u are capable to get fuel
2. The water in some places there is really bad. I can't say about all the area. buh the area where i was, the water there was terrible. it's filled up with iron that made the water brown. Sometimes depending on the season, the water might tend to itch, so thread carefully.
3. The areas wasn't lively at all, no fun center, just churches and school everywhere. So it made it challenging to have fun because fun was very far from you.

A nice street, if I should say. It's never flooded. There's a Primary school here, few churches and some shops. There's no much noise and people here are fairly nice

Electricity supply has improved compared to before, when residents could go for months without power. However, water in some parts of the area is not suitable for cooking or drinking, so residents rely on alternative sources.

It was mostly fine although it can get noisy at times due to neighbours fighting or folks from nearby compounds. Tenanted homes were everywhere so noise was the norm. Electricity was shabby and could be better.

The neighborhood has fairly reliable electricity and good security as well. Although the environment is filthy. Some residents of the estate have refused to repair their damaged septic tanks, resulting in human waste running through the streets.

Electricity is non-existent. We literally throw parties whenever we have light, which is almost never. Internet service is not dependable. The roads are often flooded during raining season. Security is terrible. Transportation can be better. You either weait for bikes or keke napeps who make their way to the location to drop passengers or you trek. There's no inbetween.

It was fine. I had no security incidents then and ultimately the community was peaceful. It can get noisy though due to some face me and face you apartments and the noise that is often associated with those. Internet was fine. There's access to water and it is quite close to the Alaba International Market for anyone who works there. There's at least two secondary schools further down the street.

Power supply was fair. Network works perfectly. There's a well to fetch water for cooking, bathing, washing but not for drinking. Drinking water was purchased closeby. Security was cool but we got robbed one time at night during my stay. The compound was as clean as could be but kitchen and toilet was shared so it was not always clean.

It was a fair place to live to be honest. Internet connection is great for all mobile networks I used from MTN to Airtel to Glo and even Etisalat. Enough water, decent road, fair electricity supply but can be shaky sometimes. It's very noisy though relatively speaking and some areas are flooded, especially those close to riverine areas

Fluctuating electricity, bad roads, and water supply wasn't too bad. But there are possibilities of fild flooding is some areas during rainy season and dried wells during the dry season. What made it liveable was the community support.

It's local and some parts are still rural even in 2026. Unsteady power supply and flooding are issues here too😩. Occasional cult clashes too. But foodstuff is cheaper here than in Lagos mainland
